What group mode measures

Group mode can compare message counts across participants, identify top contributors, show active hours and months, count new conversation starters, inspect voice-note and media markers, surface repeated words and emoji, and display a month-by-month timeline.

Why group exports are messy

WhatsApp export formats differ by device, locale and version. System messages, multiline messages, changed group names and omitted media markers can appear differently. WhatsApp X-Ray includes parsing rules designed for common Android and iPhone text export formats and reports unrecognised lines when the parser cannot be confident.

A Wrapped you can share carefully

The share-card flow is designed to use aggregate counts by default. Names can stay hidden unless the person creating the card chooses to include them.

Groups are not personality tests
